Mixing Principle

Carrying out chemical reactions

Target: Carry out a highly exothermic reaction under strictly controlled conditions in order to enhance yield and selectivity.

Target
Carry out a highly exothermic reaction under strictly controlled conditions in order to enhance yield and selectivity.

A static mixer creates rapid mixing of the reactants over the entire pipe cross-section. At the same time the axial dispersion is reduced, so that a very narrow residence time distribution is established. Owing to a high heat transfer capacity, even highly exothermic reactions can be carried out in a narrow temperature range. A high conversion rate is achieved with fewer by-products in a compact and save equipment.
