Mixing Principle
Laminar mixing of soluble, high-viscous liquids
Target: Minimize concentration or temperature deviations in a laminar liquid flow to guarantee optimum product quality.
More
Turbulent mixing of soluble, low-viscous liquids
Target: Eliminate concentration or temperature deviations in a low-viscous liquid flow, e.g. to enhance the performance of a reactor.
More
Turbulent mixing of gases
Target: Reduce as much as possible concentration or temperature deviations in a gas flow, e.g. to optimize the performance of a reactor.
More
Laminar dispersing of insoluble liquids or gases into high-viscous products
Target: Disperse droplets or bubbles into a high-viscous liquid in order to produce a dispersion or foam of high quality.
More
Turbulent dispersing of insoluble liquids or gases into low-viscous liquids
Target: Create and maintain a dispersion of a liquid or gas in a low-viscous liquid with a clearly defined droplet/bubble size, e.g. to achieve an intensive and predictable mass transfer between the phases.
More
Heat transfer with products of high viscosity
Target: Heat or cool a highly viscous, nonnewtonian and temperature-sensitive product in a rapid and gentle way in order to avoid any damage to the product.
More
Vaporization of liquids through direct heat exchange
Target: Completely evaporate a liquid by means of a direct heat exchange, e.g. to uniformly distribute a reactant in a gas or to cool down a gas efficiently.
More
Cleaning of gases in co-current flows
Target: Contact a gas with a liquid to remove undesirable compounds or dust from the gas.
More
Carrying out chemical reactions
Target: Carry out a highly exothermic reaction under strictly controlled conditions in order to enhance yield and selectivity.
More
Purification of polymers
Target: Remove unreacted monomers, oligomers and solvents from polymers, in order to achieve a high purity of your end product.
