Sulzer Melt Blenders are fitted just before the extrusion die, where the mixer equalizes the variations in the laminar flow layers of the polymer melt. This ensures that the melt entering the die is of uniform quality. Any flow lines are eliminated which results in high quality parts.
In extrusion blow molding the available space for installing a melt blender is usually limited. Sulzer Chemtech has therefore designed a very compact mixer which can be fitted just before the extrusion die.
