The high performance trays are based on multi downcomer principle which allows to accommodate high liquid loads.

Shell CS Plus and HiFi Plus Trays |
The Shell CS Plus and HiFi Plus trays are enhanced versions of the standard Calming Section and HiFi trays. Following two additional features are incorporated on to both tray types to boost vapor and liquid capacity:
MVG valves on active panels
- Reduce entrainment
- Maximize Jet Flood capacity
Crown Inlet Device (CID) at DC’s entrance
- Enhance vapor-liquid disengagement
- Maximise DC capacity

These features provide up to 10% higher useful capacity than the standard CS and HiFi trays at same tray efficiency.
- Extremely high capacity at low flow parameters
- Based on sophisticated de-entrainment device from ConSep tray technology
- Can exceed capacity of structured packing significantly, but with pressure drop of trays
- Ideal for low liquid rate applications at high pressure
- Efficiency equivalent to structured packing
- Proven performances in several hundred applications
- Suitable for system with interfacial tensions below 25 dyne/cm and large phase ratios
- Enhance capacity of existing extractors
- Increase capacity up to 25% over RDC
- Increase capacity up to 15% over conventional extraction trays
- Allows for small tray spacing down to 300 mm
