DeNOx with the SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) process
Ammonia gas An efficient SCR process relies upon Sulzer SMVTM mixers to admix gaseous ammonia into flue gas and achieve homogenization of temperature concentration and velocity distribution prior to the entry to catalyst bed where nitrogen oxides are converted to environmentally friendly N2 and water.

Aqueous ammonia vaporization The same procedure for aqueous ammonia is carried out by relying upon Sulzer ContourTM mixers in order to vaporize the liquid and homogenize all properties of the flue gas prior to the entry to SCR reactor.

Customer advantages
- Homogeneous mixture of NH3 into flue gas
- Equalized flue gas temperature
- Uniform velocity profile ahead of catalyst bed
- Low pressure drop required
- No maintenance cost
- Fast commissioning
- Flexible turn down ratio
