The Sulzer polyol mixer copes with wide viscosity and/or density ratio and shows its strength in mixing tasks with high volume flow ratios. The homogeneity (mixture) and droplet size (dispersion) are predictable and constant.
The small size of the equipment incurs in little waste, little space is necessary, the mixer can be installed in existing pipe lines.
By using a static mixer the following problems can be eliminated:
- Additive streaks in the product
- Coalescing problems due to extensive droplet size distribution
- Inhomogeneities
- Destruction of structure with high shear spots
- Unequal bubble sizes
The mixing efficiency of the static mixer is independent of the throughput, within a predetermined minimum and maximum total flow. |
