Who's most afraid of the dentist? According to new research, it's not who you'd most expect: It's women in their 40s. Ongoing research from the University of Sydney suggests that this demographic is more likely than any other age group to feel depressed, anxious or stressed when it comes to seeing a dentist. "A recent national telephone survey found that a person with severe dental anxiety waits on average 17 days to make an appointment when in severe pain, as opposed to three days in the remaining population."
