Cana-Tex performed a debottlenecking project on five towers for a major petrochemical facility in Singapore. The contract included the removal of 163 existing trays, reworking existing rings and installing 163 new Enhanced Capacity Trays in a 3300 mm ID Ethylene Fractionator, removal of 74 existing trays and installation of 74 new Enhanced Capacity Trays on existing supports in a 3500 mm ID Propylene Stripper and removal of 160 existing trays and installation of 160 new Enhanced Capacity Trays on existing supports in a 4700 mm ID Propylene Rectifier Tower. All work was completed within an ambitious timeframe, despite seized existing tray hardware in one column.

Cana-Tex performed two tower revamps for a major petrochemical company in Southern Brazil. The tower work included revamp to a 7800 mm ID Primary Fractionator Tower and removal of 118 2-pass trays and installation of 147 new trays in a 4200 mm ID C-2 Tower. The client demanded a 15 day work window and Cana-Tex beat that requirement by 36 hours.

Cana-Tex completed the overhaul of three operating units at a refinery in the United Kingdom. The Alky Unit was found to require several thousand manhours of unplanned weld repairs to the vessels. The turnaround also involved the repairs to the existing trays and the provisions of emergency replacement trays, packing and hardware through the global resources of Cana-Tex. Although the first major contract to be performed in this facility, the client now recognizes the need of a specialty tower contracting service.
