Sulzer Mixing Head SMK-X & SMK-R

The SMK-X and R type mixing head is installed directly in the nozzle of the injection moulding machine.
It generally contains four to six mixing elements which homogenise the melt during the injection phase. The degree of mixing of the system is increased by a factor of 5 to 12.

Dimensions

The Sulzer Mixing head SMK-X is available for Diameter 10 & 12 mm. The mixing elements for the X type are brazed in a sleeve.

The Sulzer Mixing head SMK-R is available in the following flow channel diameters:

The Sulzer Mixing head SMK-R is available for diameters 17 – 50 mm. The SMK-R mixer is a modular system which is assembled of mixing elements with a ring, end sleeves and middle sleeves. All the standard sizes mentioned above are available on stock and can be delivered at a short notice.
