Gulf Coast Refinery Crude, Coker and SRU Turnaround. Cana-Tex performed the blinding, opening, cleaning, internal replacements and repairs on 17 towers and 2 drums. Workscope highlights included the replacement of the wash and HVGO bed sections of a 37” diameter vacuum column. This included complete replacement of the major support beams and chimney trays. A unique approach was taken during this scope to shorten the duration significantly. The Coker Fractionator scope included replacement of the majority of its internals and a Stripper Column was retrayed. The balance of the items also received normal cleaning, internal repairs, weld repairs and some internal replacements. Over 200 crafts people completed this work safely and within our critical path schedule on all items. | |

West Coast Reformer and Hydrogenation Units Turnaround. Cana-Tex performed the blinding, opening, cleaning and repairs on 10 tower and 60 drums. Workscope in various items included tray replacement and/or repairs, packing replacement, demister replacement, installation and/or replacement of nozzles, post weld heat treatment, replacement of distributor trays, routine cleaning and inspection of all items. The project demanded close coordination with various subcontractors and customer to insure its overall success. Project was completed safely and on time. | |

Cana-Tex performed tray to tray revamp on 3 towers at a major Malaysian Petrochemical Plant. The 2 Propylene towers consisted of a combined 257 trays in and out on existing supports. The single Ethlene tower was 147-trays in a surrogate ring configuration. The project was completed safely and within an aggressive project schedule. | |
