The co-operation of these two companies complement each other through Kuehnis many years of experi-ence in the field of stirred extraction columns as well as generally in the pilot technique and Sulzers know-how in the area of structured packings. The customers can now be provided with new, extensive possibili-ties for solutions for their technical separation tasks with packed extraction columns. The designed plants are based on the results from pilot tests and with the help of a large-scaled, existing data basis. Through this collaboration both, technical as well as economically optimized designs for all liquid-liquid-extraction tasks are now available for the customer.

Kuehni maintains a modern test center in Allschwil which can carry out approximate process conditions.

Sulzer Chemtech Ltd  with headquarters in Winterthur, Switzerland, has more then 25 years of experience in designing liquid-liquid-extraction columns.
